jack-o-lantern into one, and some kind of special carving in another.
This year, Ava told us she wanted a happy jack-o-lantern and also told us what shapes she wanted the eyes and nose. For our special carving, we decided to go with a vampire.
The kids loved helping, and it was super-cute to watch them get excited and try to figure out what was going on.
Since Ava was super good last night, we also let her stay up "late" so she could watch "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". Maybe next year, little man.
(Shirtless disclaimer...the reason for both kids being shirtless was two-fold: it was spaghetti night and pumpkin carving night. We planned for both of those events to occur on bath night.)
